When my Fisher ancestors lived in North Carolina, one of their neighbors and
friends was a man by the name of John Osborn. John raised a little corn, made a
little whiskey and enjoyed the company of William McCain's daughter, Sally, very
much. He also kept a diary in which he recorded his activities and very frequent
visits to his friends and neighbors. His records give insight into the daily
lives of these folks and the Fishers were certainly among those he enjoyed
visiting. The only known volume of his diary is now available on the internet
and is a welcome addition to the Fisher Family record. When you visit the site,
be sure to sign the guest book and express your gratitude to the people who have
made this valuable record available. Now on to the Diary
of John Osborn Jan 1, 1800 - Oct 2, 1802
