My Ellis Family: A Brief History My Ellis line begins with Jane Jones Ellis, born about 1809. She married Samuel Crosby in Cathedral, Manchester, England on 17 April 1833. She was listed as coming from the parish of Liverpool. At some point after the marriage they moved to Liverpool where they were the parents of the following children:
Unfortunately Jane lost both her daughter Catherine and son George when they were young. Jane died of Cholera on 19 August 1849 at 8 Greenland Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. She was survived by her husband, Samuel and her daughter, Jane Ellis Crosby.
