Preface:
To know me, you must know the layers of my life. Layers of the mind, the heart. The truth of ones life is never simplistic. So, I give you all my realities,, all the possible titles of my life story to you: Separated Still, Tree Shack to Trust Fund, Kiss the Child, Baby-sitting the Seventh Grade, Rocking Babies,, and Finding Nephi.
Summary of the Possible Titles of My Life:
Separated Still- A tale of three sisters who are separated in foster homes, dreaming of the day when they grow up so they can finally be together, only to realize in adult-hood they lives have pulled them in different directions..
Tree Shack to Trust Fund- The story of a child conceived in a “tree shack” in California, brought into upper-class society by her adopted parents in a historic Apalachicola house in Florida, sent to a private school and college, and left with a trust fund that enables her to stay at home with her children.
Kiss the Child- The horrific events of abuse of a five-year old girl that led to a promiscuous teenage girl, who dreamed of marriage, kids, and the love that those ideals promised her. It is only after committing serious sins and sinking into a deep depression that she turns to Heavenly Father in repentance. She has been haunted by guilt and finally finds peace through repentance.
Baby-sitting the Seventh Grade- an upbeat, idealistic first-time English teacher gets a job teaching a group of Bible belt children. The joy of the years accomplishments is however destroyed when her grades are changed, leaning her feeling like a baby-sitter.
Rocking Babies- vignettes of motherhood
Finding Nephi- From age eight, Jolene learned of a man who was valiant- the idealistic man of her dreams,, but would she find this scripture super-hero, Nephi, in real life?
