The Timeline
Cindy's Comments
Cindy's relative took various photos during his travels, lectures and conferences during the early 1900s.

She has taken the time and effort to scan these for anyone with an interest in the old photos from across the USA. Cindy can be contacted via email at: Cindy Brewer Dooley.

"I have photos, taken by a relative, from the Civil War "sites", also from his travels, attending conferences and lectures. He was a medical doctor, gentleman farmer and had an uncle, that died of starvation at Andersonville Prison, GA. I have been thinking of somehow sharing theses old photos."

Cindy - "My Mother's only brother Samual Thomas Thompson was wounded here. His left arm was nearly shot off 6 ins. below the shoulder- he was sent back to Cairo(state?) and his arm finally saved. My Father's brother Daniel was captured here and taken to Andersonville where he slowly starved to death."

Cindy - "I will try and write what is written on the back. Sunday Aug 9th "10--"Pearl" Are in my room at the Hotel der Nord Cologne and looking out over a beautiful inner court with flowers and fountains and gay baugueters eating their evening dinners while "s_vert" music from a hidden "orchusta" peals forth "enchantiley"notes of the most sublime harmony- I will join them and partake of the good _ . Why _ let your _ have ( words are un-readable, on one more word "Nick", the rest is just too HARD to make out. The picture shows J.E. standing at the front of the "wagon", which says on the side, it's a "tour of Berlin, in front of the Cafe Schon."
