January the first Saturday 1833
1st Brother Daniel LETT entered a complaint against Sister Mary GRAHAM * late Mary ADAMS for refusing to live with her husband, whereupon brethren John OSBURN and ZECHARIAH BUSH were appointed to visit her and converse with her on that subject and report at the next meeting. 2nd Agreed that brethren John OSBURN, John HOPKINS, Allen HILL, Jesse JOHNSON, and Matthew ARBUCKLE draw up a plan for a meeting house together with the probable expence and report at the next meeting. 3rd Received by experience for baptism Joshua HUDSON, Benjamin RANDAL, Peggy RANDAL, Boyd W. HUDSON, Frances HUDSON and Edward RANDAL.

Sunday January the 6th 1833
Received by experience for baptism George FEAR, Sally FEAR, and Aaron SCOTT.

At a call meeting of the church held on the 18th of January 1833:
1st Brother Thomas HILL, Jr., chosen moderator for the day and Allen HILL, clerk. 2nd The brethren appointed to draw up a plan of meetinghouse and estimate the probable expence made their report and with one small amendment was agreed to and is as follows: Plan of a meetinghouse for the Baptist Church on Coffee Creek: The foundation to be of stone to be sunk 18 inches below the surface of the ground to be two feet think and of sufficient height to level one foot above the highest ground on which the building is to stand. The house to be erected on the high ground at the north of the graveyard to be forty four feet long and forty feet wide to stand north and south. The wall to be of brick twelve feet high with the cornice thirteen inches thick with brick cornice, to have one door and four windows in the east side one door and two windows in the north end and one door and four windows in the west side and three windows in the south end. The doors and windows to have double arches except . . . south end. The window to be large enough for twenty light sash. The roof to be supported with six posts three under each side with plates on the top of sufficient hight to strike the rafters half way between the wall and the top of the roof. The plates to be worked into the wall at the ends and girded together with girders every two feet. The posts to be twelve inches square four feet above the floor and one foot at the top the remainder dressed of eight square . The posts to be framed into white oak sills at the bottom 12 inches square the sills to be even with the top of the foundation with a stone pillar under each post and under the ends. The ... to be of sawn timber three inches thick and nine inches deep to rest on the foundation and on the oak sills and to be twenty two in number. The floor to be of poplar plank one inch and one fourth thick well seasoned laid rough with square joints and well nailed down. The rafters and girders to be lathed underneath and the inside of the wall together with the lathing to be plastered. The pulpit to stand in the south end of the house. The windows to be finished with sash and glass the glass put in with putty. The doors with double shuts hinges and latches the doors and windows to be ... formed the outside of the wall to be jointed and ... the foundation painted. The probable cost of the above disscribed building with the exception of the lathing plastering and pulpit is estimated at $500.00

2nd Agreed that Balaam LETT, William HUDSON, and Thomas HILL, Jr., each furnish himself with a subscription paper and ascertain what amount of subscription can be obtained to be paid on or before the 25h of December next for the purpose of building the above disscribed meeting house. Adjourned.

February 1st Saturday 1833
Met and after praise and prayer 1st The brethren appointed to visit Sister Mary GRAHAM report that they visited her and conversed with her and she was still unwilling to live with her husband. She is therefore considered no longer a member with us. 2nd Received by experience for baptism William CARPENTER, Clarissa CARPENTER, Eleanor GRIFFITHS, and Nancy THOMAS and by relation John THOMAS. 3rd Received a request from the Baptist Church at White River for ministers and members to meet with them and advise with them in a matter of difficulty existing between the church and Brother S. D. MONROE whereupon Brethren Barnet GADDY, Daniel LETT, Jesse JOHNSON, and Boyd W. HUDSON were appointed to meet with them for that purpose. The brethren appointed at the call meeting to ascertain what amount of subscription could be obtained for the purpose of building a meeting house reported that they have obtained four hundred and thirty dollars and that there was a prospect of some more. The church then proceeded to the election of trustees and Brethren John HOPKINS, Jesse JOHNSON, Allen HILL were duly elected trustees for this church. The trustrees were then instructed by the church to give public notice and proceed to let the lowest bidder then raining and covering of the house described in the rpoert of the committee and if by them thought practicable the furnishings the aforesaid building. Adjourned.

February the 18th 1833
At an evening meeting held at the house of Brother Wm. LEWIS received by relation Samuel GREEN.

The church met and after praise and prayer no business appearing, adjourned.

April the 1st Saturday 1833
Met and after praise and prayer 1st At the request of Brother Allen HILL, he is released from serving as ... and 2nd Brother Boy W. HUDSON appointed as trustee to fill the place of A. HILL. 3rd Received by letter Brother JOHN WINSCOTT and Sister Hannah WINSCOTT, his wife. 4th Agreed to purchase of Thomas HILL, senior, five acres of land lying in the north west corner of section 32, Town Five North of Range Eight East. Adjourned.

May the 1st Saturday 1833
Met and after praise and prayer 1st Received a request from the church on Indian Creek for Elder Thomas HILL and such other brethren as the church may think proper to send to meet with them on the 1st Saturday in June next for the purpose of ordaining Brother Samuel HAHURIN to the work of the ministry, whereupon agreed that Elder Thomas HILL and Brother Thomas COBB meet with them for that purpose. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer on motion it is considered by the church that whereas Sister Elizabeth EASTMAN has united with the Methodist Society she is no longer a member with us. Received by experience for baptism Simeon M. ROBERTSON and Esther SCOTT. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the brother clerk to prepare a letter to the association and present the same for inspection at the next meeting. 2nd Received by letter Sister Hannah CARPENTER. No other business appearing adjourned.

August the 5th Saturday 1833
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the letter to the association written by A. HILL received and Brethren Thomas HILL, Thomas HILL, Jr., Z. BUSH, John OSBURN, and John HOPKINS appointed to bear the same. 2nd Agreed that Brother Wm. C. BRAMWELL have a letter of dismission. Adjourned.

October the 1st Saturday 1833
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Thomas HILL chosen moderator for this 2nd The church authorize the trustees to make such alteration in the hight of the meetinghouse now in building as they may think proper. 3rd Agreed that Brother Simeon ROBERTSON and wife have letters of dismission from this church. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother OSBOURN proposed the following query (to wit) It is right for a member of this church to purchase public land improved by any individual without making any compensation for such improvement and in motion the same is ...ed for further consideration until next meeting. 2nd The church ... that the old meeting house be used in place of the school house when unoccupied by the school. 3rd Received a request from the church at Mount Moriah for members to counsel with them on the propriety of ordaining Brother Charley WOODWARD to the work of the ministry whereupon Brethren Daniel ? LETT, John OSBOURN, and John W. WILKERSON agree to attend.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st In answer to the query proposed at last meeting the church say it is not right. No other business appearing. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion Brethren John OSBOURN, Allen HILL, Jesse JOHNSON, Simeon ROBERTSON, and Jesse ROBERTSON are appointed to hear a complaint of Brother Thomas COBB against Brother Isham LETT or SCOTT and also to visit Brother SCOTT or LETT and converse with him on that matter and report at next meeting. 2nd Dismissed by letter Brother John WINSCOT and wife and Sister Nancy McHENRY. Adjourned.

June 1st Saturday 1834
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brethren Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Allen HILL, clerk. 2nd The brethren appointed to hear a complaint against Brother Isham Scott and to visit him report that they have not had an apportunity of seeing Brother SCOTT. It is therefore continued until next meeting. Adjourned.

Sister Betsy SNOWDEN departed this life June 1834.

July 1st Saturday 1834
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion of Brother Isham SCOTT is continued until next meeting. 2nd Brother Osbourn is exempted from serving as deacon at his own request. 3rd Dismissed by letter Sister Emilee Ann McLAIN. 4th Received by relation Betsy TOBIAS. Adjourned.

August 1st Saturday 1834
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The brethren appointed to hear Brother COBB's complaint against Brother Isham LETT report that they have heard the complaint and also have visited Brother Lett and are of opinion that Brother COBB has good ground of complaint and that Brother LETT has failed to make satisfaction. Therefore, on motion Brother Isham LETT is considered no longer a member of this church. 2nd The clerk to prepare a letter to the association and Brethren Thomas HILL, Zechariah BUSH, Thomas HILL, Jr., Jesse ROBERTSON and John HOPKINS to bear the same. 3rd Received by experience for baptism Aurelia RICH. No other business appearing, adjourned.

August 5th Saturday 1834
1st The letter to the association written by A. HILL received and approved. 2nd Brother Allen HILL chosen to a deacon for this church. 3rd Received by letter Polly KIMER. 4th Agreed that next Friday be set apart as a day of fasting and prayer. No other business appearing adjourned.

Sister Polly APPLEGATE departed this life Sept. 1834.

October 1st Saturday 1834
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Absalom HUDSON presented a complaint against Brother Isham BENNETT and wife, Joshua HUDSON and wife, Jesse JOHNSON and wife and sister Sally FOWLER and on motion Brethren John OSBOURN, Thomas COBB, Aaron SCOTT, Simeon N. ROBERTSON, and Thomas HILL, Jr., are appointed to enquire into the difficulty and report at next meeting. Adjourned.

November 1st Saturday 1834
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The Brethren appointed to enquire into the difficulty existing between Brother Absalom HUDSON and others report that the difficulty is settled. No other business appearing, adjourned.

December 1st Saturday 1834
1st Received a request from Mount Mound Church for aid in the ordination of a deacon at their next meeting whereupon Brethren Z. BUSH, Daniel SCOTT (or LETT) John OSBOURN, Henry COBB, and Thomas COBB agree to attend. 2nd Brother Jesse ROBERTSON is authorized to make appointments and exercise a public gift in the bounds of this church and sister churches and then the church adjourned.
