"Married, on the 5th of September 1889, at the Eau Gallie Baptist Church, Rev. X. M. Prince officiating, Mr. Charles F. McBride, late of New York City, to Miss Coraline Piazza, late of Brooklyn. The bride looked charming, and the bridegroom seemed to realize that he had gained a prize. After the short impressive ceremony, the guests were summoned to a dining room beautifully decorated with flowers and what was of more importance -- a table literally crowded with good things, to which ample justice was done. The happy pair were recipients of many valuable presents from relatives and friends at New York, Cincinnati, and Eau Gallie."

Another news items in the same paper read:

"The event of the week was the marriage last Thursday by Rev. M. Prince at Eau Gallie of Corallne Bertha Piazza, of Eau Gallie, and Mr. Charles T. McBride of Melbourne. Only a few friends were invited but numerous and valuable gifts from friends north and south, with kind wishes go with the happy pair. May their married life be as unclouded as our sunny days; may their barque of life be wafted ever onward by favorable breezes, till, after a long, prosperous and happy voyage, they reach the haven of eternal rest.

-Florida Star, October 2, 1889

"Service in the Eau Gallie Baptist Church on Sunday, October 16, 1889 when the Rev. S. F. Cove preached a most impressive sermon to a large congregation. Mr. John Mellor received the thanks of all present for his exertions in helping to collect funds for the new organ, which was used on the above date for the first time. Mr. George Gleason -- ever ready and willing to oblige -- acted as organist. The tone of the instrument was everything that could be desired, and all were pleased at Eau Gallie possessing such an organ."
