Dorothy Pearce Barnes
May 1, 1930 -- Dec. 10, 2007
Dorothy Pearce Barnes, 77, of Wilson, died Monday. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Tony Hawley will officiate.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Jean Tomlinson of Wilson and Linda Faye Gardner and husband, Wayne, of Lucama; two sons, Marion Junior Barnes and wife, Barbara, of Pikeville and Johnny Barnes and wife, Cathy, of Wilson; two sisters, Ruth Lane of Pikeville and Adell Cole of Princeton; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Jones Barnes, and a son, Charles Ray Barnes.
The family will receive friends Thursday following the service and at other times at 5105 Zulas Place Road.
