Nancy Ola Williamson Ferrell, 83, of Lucama died Tuesday. The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Leburg III and the Rev. Sefton Strickland at 2 p.m. Thursday at Buckhorn United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
She was a retired private-duty registered nurse with 46 years of service.
Survivors are a son, Hubert Gene Ferrell of Lucama; a sister Marie W. Lamm of Grifton; a brother, Delmon Williamson of Dunn; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; and her caregiver, Ann Sessoms.
The family will receive friends at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 US 264-A West from 7-8:30 tonight and at other times at 5337 Scott Church Road, Lucama.

Hubert G. Ferrell

Hubert Gene Ferrell, 58, of Lucama passed away Saturday. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Sefton Strickland will officiate.
Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife Dianne Renfrow Ferrell; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jill F. Robertson and Seth of Lucama, Gretchen F. Jenkins and Sam of Apex, and Genny Ferrell of Greenville; one grandson, Isaac Jenkins of Apex; and two aunts, Reba F. Scott of Lucama and Marie W. Lamm of Grifton.
He was preceded in death by his parents Guy Hubert and Nancy Williamson Ferrell and grandson Guy Seth Robertson.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, and other times at 5221 Wiggins Mill Road, Lucama.
Flowers are welcome and memorials may be made to Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, 7335 Springfield School Road, Lucama, NC 27851.

Nancy Jill Ferrell of Lucama and Bryan Seth Robertson of Apex were married October 10 at four o'clock in the afternoon at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church in Lucama. Reverend Sefton Strickland officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Gene Ferrell. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty B. Renfrow, and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Ferrell, all of Lucama. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Steve Robertson of Reidsville. He is the grandson of Mr. Virgil Burnette and Mr. Homer Robertson, both of Old Fort.
Gretchen Ferrell of Chapel Hill and Genny Ferrell of Lucama, sisters of the bride, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Beth Barnes, cousin of the bride, of Lucama; Denise Burnette, cousin of the groom, of Candler; Maria Smith and Christie Starkweather, both of Raleigh; Sherry Smith of Lucama; and Jennifer Whaley of New Bern. Allison Dunn of Lucama served as flower girl.
Steve Robertson served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were John Allison of Old Fort; John Barnes, cousin of the bride, of Lucama; Matt Krist of Raleigh; Doug May of Garner; and Patrick Robertson, Robbie Robertson, and Scott Robertson, cousins of the groom, all of Old Fort.
Lynn R. Barnes, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding.
The bride is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is currently pursuing a Master of Accounting degree from North Carolina State University.
The groom is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering. He is an Engineer with Kruger, Inc.

To the worshipful the Justices of said Court
The petition of Sarah Williamson widow of Isaac Williamson
respectfully showeth unto your worships that her said Husband died in
the County of Wilson in the month of July last leaving a last will &
testament which has been duly proved during the present Term of the
Court and that during the same Term she hath duly entered her dissent
from the said will. Your petitioner further further (sic) showeth
that she desires to have her years support out of the estate of her
said husband allotted to her according to law, and to that end she
prays your worships to appoint one Justice of the Peace & three
freeholders unconnected with her to view the said estate; and to
allot & set apart to her so much of the Crop, stock and provisions
belonging thereto as may be adequate to the support of herself &
family for one year, and if there shall not be a (sufficing?) on hand
to afford such allowance, then to assess tthe deferring in money, and
report their proceedings under their hands and seals to the next Term
of the Court and your petitioner as in duty bound will ever pray.

view the estate of Isaac Williamson Decd. and to allot and set apart
to his widow Sarah Williamson so much of the crop stock & provisions
belonging thereto as may be adequate to the support of herself &
family for one year, and if there shall not be a sufficiiency on hand
to afford such an allowance, then to assess the deficiency in money.
Said Commissions are to report to the next Term of this Court under
their hands and seals.

and there being no crop stock or provisions on hand we have assessed
the deficiency to the sum of Three hundred Dollars to be paid to the
said widow by The Executor of the said deceased. Given under our
hands and seals this 4th day of January 1856.
