Ruby M. Curry, 90
Ruby Pearl McCorquodale Curry, 90, of 3055 Maxwell Road, Autryville, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.
She was born in Cumberland County on Aug. 23, 1917, to the late William Angus and Ila Florence McCorquodale. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey McLeod, Wade Williamson and John Curry; a son, Jack McLeod; a daughter, Sandra Leggett; sisters, Elma Howard and Gladys Outlaw; and brothers, Charlie R. McCorquodale and William Angus McCorquodale Jr. Mrs. Curry was a member of Baptist Chapel Church.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Baptist Chapel Church by the Rev. Alan Roberts. Burial will follow at Old Bluff Church Cemetery.
Survivors include grandchildren, Teresa Vipperman of Rural Retreat, Va., and Lisa Schwartz of Chocowinity; a great-grandchild, Christie Gray; great-great-grandchildren, Joshua Gray and Makala Gray; a sister, Geraldine M. Johnson of Godwin; and brothers, Billy H. McCorquodale of Falcon, Earl McCorquodale of Laurens, S.C., and Kenneth McCorquodale of Dunn.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home in Dunn.
