Elizabeth Schaum Lamm, 79, died Thursday, December 21, 2006. Funeral, Saturday, 11 a.m., Maplewood Cemetery, Section E.
Elizabeth "Betsy" Cozart Schaum Lamm was born on January 31, 1927, in Wilson County to the late Norborne Morris and Doris Cozart Schaum. She was a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. U.H. Cozart Sr.
Betsy attended Wilson's Charles L. Coon High School and graduated from St. Catherine's School in Richmond and Salem College — Class of 1948. In 1951, she married James "Jimmy" Gray Lamm, who survives; daughters, Susan Cozart Lamm Canady of Wilson, Sarah Gray Lamm of Chapel Hill, Elizabeth Schaum Hunt and her husband, Scott, of Wilmington; grandchildren, William James Hunt, Sarah Elizabeth Hunt, Thomas Robeson Canady Jr., and James Gray Canady; sister, Doris C. Walston of Wilson.
The family will be at home, 928 Brookside Drive. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1423, Wilson, NC 27894.

GERALDINE WILLIAMSON LAMM
WILSON -- Geraldine Williamson Lamm, 73, died Wednesday morning, June 7, 2000, at Wake Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2000 at Maplewood Cemetery with the Reverend Bill Presnell of First United Methodist Church of Wilson officiating.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roney Williamson, Mrs. Lamm was a devoted wife and mother for over 50 years. Geraldine was active throughout her life, whether playing tennis, reading, gardening, or helping with grandchildren. Her true passion was playing duplicate and contact bridge, having achieved the distinction of Life Grand Master. She was a graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill and a member of Alpha Delta Phi Sorority. Truly a kind and gentle lady, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Harry L. Lamm of Wilson; six children, Geraldine L. Heenan of Herndon, VA, Harry L. Lamm Jr., Robert B. Lamm and Sandra L. Homes of Wilson, Jack R. Lamm II of Apex, and Scott M. Lamm of Raleigh; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Miriam Minshew, Hazel Bruton and Josephine Liles, all of Wilson.
The family will receive friends at home at 1217 Watson Dr. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Blackburn Building Fund at the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1423, Wilson, NC 27894.

MILDRED MONICA NEWMAN LAMM, 75, of Rockwell, N.C., formerly of Memphis, died of renal failure Friday in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Cremation Services in Winston-Salem has charge. She was a graduate of Central High School, Blue Mountain College and Smith University.
Mrs. Lamm, the wife of LeRoy B. Lamm, M. D., also leaves two daughters, Mary Lamm Kaleta and Monica Ann Schwartz, and a son, Wiley Bardlen Lamm.
