Know all men by these present that we Heazlet Sproull  and  Francis  Fergus are held firmly bound unto John  Page Esquire Governor or chief magistrate of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the just and full sum of One   hundred fifty dollars to which payment well and truly to be  made to our said governor and his  successor  from for the use of the   Commonwealth We bind ourselves our  heirs  executors  administrators  jointly and severally firmly by these  present  sealed   with   our seals and dated this 26th day of December 1804 .

The condition of the above obligation is such that where
  as the above bound Heazlet Sproull hath this day  obtained a  license  for his marriage with Elizabeth Fergus now if there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct   said marriage, then this obligation to be void else to  remain in full force and virtue  tested.
