Opal Fay Elder

Opal Fay Elder was born to Elsie Luella (Newell/Siders) Elder on September 16, 1953. Elsie was the daughter of Lillie Ann Newell from Mason County, West Virginia. Elsie was in trouble, her husband had died several years back and she already had four young children and was very ill. Her situation was so dire that she decided that she couldn't give Opal Fay the proper care and decided that she would put Opal Fay up for adoption.

Opal Fay Elder was formally adopted by Gould Oscar & Ethel Anne Rivette, She was given the name Mary-Del Rivette and was raised with love and devotion by her new parents.

Mary Del married John Fredrick Daniels on March 26, 1975 at Madison Heights, Michigan Court House. They had two children; Rosmond Dee Daniels (b. March 26, 1976) and Jacob Thomas Daniels (b. July 21, 1980)

Rosmond Dee Daniels married Mike Winoiwski and have a daughter Morgan Marie Winoiwski.

Mary-Del Rivette (Opal Fay Elder) is the great great great granddaughter of John Newell. 

Mary Del divorced John Fredrick Daniels and married Joseph Henry Hummel, Jr., where they both are living happily in Rosedale, Maryland.
