Third Haven Monthly Meeting Minutes records that "At our monthly meeting
at the head of Third Haven Creek, also called Tread Avon Creek, the 30th
day of the 7th month 1719,John Ratcliff and Sarah Fellows appeared in this
meeting and declared their intentions of marriage, the first time. Peter
Harwood and Thomas Atkinson are to inquire into the man's clearness and
report to the next meeting."
29d, 8m, 1719: John Ratcliff and Sarah Fellows declare their intent to marry the 2nd time.
William Ratcliff and Mary Fellows delcare their intent to marry the 2nd time.
"At a quarterly meeting at our meeting house at the head of Tread Avon
Creek the 28th and 29th of the 8th month 1719, John Ratcliff and Sarah
Fellows appeared at this meeting and declared their intentions of marriage,
the second time. They having the consent of their parents and nothing
appearing to obstruct they are left to their liberty in the truth to effect
their marriage, they appointing time and place and making the same public."
25d, 9m, 1719: The marriage of John and William Ratcliff were accomplished in good order.
"At a monthly meeting at the house of John Stevens on Dividing Creek, the
25th and 26th of the 9th month 1719, John Ratcliff and Wm Ratcliff's

25d, 10m, 1734: James Ratcliff informs this meeting that John Ratcliff and John Fellows
intends to remove themselves and families to some part of the government
of Carolina and desires a few lines by way of certificate. This meeting
appoints Thomas Atkinson and James Ratcliff into these conversations and
arcienstandes (?) so that care may be taken that they leave our parts in
honor and provide a certificate against our next monthly meeting for
approbation and signing.
