Fechenheim in the Year 1636
When a new pastor, Georg Bender, came to the parish in 1636, these were the names he recorded. The number of widows is so high because of the 30-Year War which lasted from 1618 to 1648. In the year 1672, the congregation split into Lutheran and Reformed religions. In 1817, the emporer ordered the consolidation of the two religions, becoming known as the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
