Revolutionary & 1812 War Records

These are scans I made from xeroxes of the original vouchers I found at NC Archives. If you can prove your line back to any of these folks, this will get you into DAR. I have no idea if DAR would accept the letters of Samantha Ann Smith Currie and Emma White Woodward for this purpose or not. Maybe one of the descendants would like to try it and find out. Somebody needs to break the ice. I have the original letters and will be glad to provide notarized copies, a deposition, or whatever DAR wants to go with them for validation purposes.

As I remember it, these came from National Archives. Lela Peterson was there, ran across it, and got copies for me. Joseph's brother Christopher also served, but either she couldn't obtain his records or thought I wouldn't want them. Anyway, I don't have his.
