Lucinda Woodward
Lucinda was named as a daughter in the Robertson Co, TN will of Richard Woodward written Feb 21, 1839:
7th – I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Lucinda one hundred and thirty four dollars to herself and legal heirs of her body and not otherwise
The Richard Woodward estate records indicate that Isaiah
Kirby owed the estate:
1 [note] on Isaiah Kirby for Doubtful
90 44 -
1 [note] on [Isaiah Kirby] for Doubtful
3 46 -
I. Kirby purchased 14 items at the estate sale. He was the third most prominent buyer after William Coffy Woodward and Dolly Woodward Kirby.
1850 Census - Robertson Co., Tn
Roll 894
523 523
Isaiah Kirby - 62 - male - farmer - farmer - 200 - b.
NC
Lucinda - 48 - female - b. NC
Lucinda was named in the will after son Edward who was born in 1794 but before son Gabriel who was born in 1803. Isaiah Kirby's wife Lucinda works well with this birth order, however she may have been born a little earlier than her census indicates.
Although the evidence is convincing, we still have no
record that absolutely proves that Richard Woodward's daughter Lucinda
was the wife of Isaiah Kirby.
