RALPH F. FAY, 73\ MORTGAGE BROKERAGE OFFICIAL
   
A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Bartholomew's Church, Needham, for Ralph F. Fay, an executive vice president of Clifford B. Miller Inc., a mortgage brokerage firm in Brookline.
   
He died yesterday in his home in Winchester after a long illness. He was 73.
   
Mr. Fay was born in Salem and was educated in Brookline schools. He was graduated from Boston University.
   
He had been a correspondent for State Mutual Assurance Co., the New York Life Insurance Co., the Sun Life Insurance Co., and the Home Life Insurance Co.
   
He was a member of the Massachusetts Board of Realtors and Mortgage Brokers, the Oakley Country Club of Watertown, and the University Club of Hartford, Conn.
   
Mr. Fay was a resident of Newtonville for 38 years before moving to Winchester five years ago.
   
He leaves his wife Mary (Scott) Fay; three daughters, Nanci Miller of Westwood, Diane Miller of Wellesley and Susan Babcock of Newton; a stepson, John Scott Feely of Needham; a sister, Angela Fay of Brighton; and 14 grandchildren.
   
Burial will be in Newton Ceme
