MISS CAROLYN GRANT AND ERNEST BEL FAY ARE WED

Number of Houstonians Present at the Ceremony and Reception

New York, June 12, --
Miss Carolyn Grant had a perfect June day for her marriage to Ernest Bel Fay yesterday. Wearing a powder blue traveling costume, accented by navy taffeta accessories, the pretty daughter of John F. Grant of Houston, and the young son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Fay of Lake Charles, La., were married at 10:30 yesterday morning in the chapel of St. Bartholomew's Church at Park Avenue and Fifty-first street.
The bride carried a corsage of white orchids. Her only attendant was Gertrude Mathews of Chicago, a former roommate. She wore a navy blue sheer crepe ensemble and carried mauve orchids. Albert Bel Fay was his brother's best man. A reception in the perroquet suite at the Waldorf-Astoria followed the ceremony, the bridal party being seated about a pink and white flower decorated horse-shoe table. An orchestra played for dancing on the floor inside the horse-shoe.
Fifty friends were invited to the reception. Among those from Houston were Mrs. Henry C. Haden of 3704 Montrose boulevard, wife of Dr. Henry C. Haden and mother-in-law of the best man; Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Hanszen of Lazy Lane; Palmer Hutcheson, Thad Hutchenson, Katherine Gardiner, Charles Dillingham, George Horton, Mrs. Pratt with her daughter Nancy Jane, Mrs. Murphy W. Townsend, aunt of the bride from Dallas. The bride graduated from Vassar College Monday. Mr. Ernest Bel Fay graduated from Harvard last week. The couple will spend the summer in Marblehead, Mass. Before returning to Houston in the fall, they will take a trip to Bermuda.
