Mrs. Fate died in a convalescent home Wednesday afternoon after a five-month kidney ailment. She was the wife of J.E. Fate, retired employee of the Maloney-Crawford Tank and Manufacturing Co. She moved to McAlester from her native Columbus, Kan., with her parents in 1890. She later lived at Sapulpa prior to coming to Tulsa in 1915. She was a member of the Unity church. Also surviving are two sons, Upton Hudson, 2645 S. Quebec av., accountant for the Newspaper Printing Corp., and Don Fate, 1552 S. Yorktown av; a daughter, Mrs. Charles F. Colvin, Sand Springs; a step-son, M.E. Fate, 120 N. Lewis pl; a brother, C.L. Scranton, Bokoshe; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
