Susanna Baskett was born on 25 June 1762 at Goochland County, Virginia. She was the daughter of William Semple Baskett and Mary Pace. Susanna Baskett married Warren Cash, son of Thomas Cash Jr. and Nancy Thompson, on 24 November 1782 at Fluvannah County, Virginia. Susanna Baskett died in March 1844 at Nolin, Hardin County, Kentucky, at age 81. She was buried at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery, Glendale, Hardin County, Kentucky.

All biographical material concerning Warren and Susannah discloses that Warren was an 'illiterate, rough soldier of the Revolution and a bold sinner' when he reached Kentucky in the Fall of 1784; and that Susannah was a well educated daughter of a prosperous Virginia planter and preacher. She taught her husband to the point where he became an effective and popular preacher. 'A History of Baptist in Kentucky' by Frank Masters, a publication of the Kentucky Baptist Historical Society, says that during the summer of 1784 John Taylor settled in Woodford County in a 16x16 log cabin. A revival begin in the winter of 1784/85 and they began to hold night meetings in the little cabin in the woods. Taylor remembers, 'the first (revival) I recollect was at a night meeting at my little cabin, though the night was wet and damp and scarcely a trace to get to my house, the little cabin was pretty well filled with people. A Mrs. Cash, the wife of Warren Cash, was much affected and was soon after was hopefully converted.' Mrs. Cash, as far as known was the fruit of the Lord in the far famed Blue Grass Region of Kentucky. She was born in Virginia, being one of 13 children of Elder William Baskett, her father a prosperous man in Goochland County, Virginia. Soon after Mrs. Cash's conversion in the cabin, she won her husband to Christ and began to teach him, with good results. He later became a useful preacher, due largely to the tutoring of his faithful wife. In 1799, Warren was ordained to preach by two Elders, John Penny and William Hickman. Baumes Publishing, Cincinnati, OH, pg.58-59 SUSANNAH CASH was the daughter of Elder William Baskett and his wife, Mary, whose maiden name was Pace. She was one of thirteen children - eight sons and five daughters - born to her parents. She was born and raised in Goochland County, Virginia. Her father being a prosperous man, she received a fair education for that time. In November, 1783, she was married to a soldier, who had served four years in the Revolutionary War, of the name of Warren Cash, a wild, reckless young man, who was so illiterate that he was unable to read. A few months after her marriage, she moved with her husband to Kentucky. They first stopped in Madison County, but soon afterwards moved to Woodford, and settled where Mortonville is now located. Here, as we have seen above, she was converted to the Lord. Soon afterwards her husband was converted, and they were both baptized into the fellowship of Clear Creek Church, soon after its constitution by John Taylor. She now set about teaching her husband. In this she succeeded, and being a man of good natural mind, Warren Cash soon became a useful preacher. 'His tutoress and instrument of his conversion,' says John Taylor, 'is one of the most pious minded and best taught females in the religion of the heart I was every acquainted with.' Mrs. Cash lived to see most or all of her children baptized, and one of them, Jeremiah, an acceptable preacher.

Amos Bennett Jr. was born on 13 June 1837 at Kentucky. He was the son of Amos Bennett and Sarah Elizabeth Hamblin. Amos Bennett Jr. married Nancy Melinda Perkins, daughter of Thomas Perkins, on 30 September 1852 at Whitley County, Kentucky.¹ Amos Bennett Jr. died on 27 September 1906 at Rock Springs, Henderson County, Kentucky, at age 69.¹ He was buried at Nevisdale Cemetery, Nevisdale, Whitley County, Kentucky.

     Amos Bennett Jr. was also known as Bud. He and Sarah Elizabeth Hamblin made their home on land purchased from his father on Bennett's Branch of Patterson Creek. Their home place has later known as the J.L. Jones Place at the mouth of Tye Hollow. Shortly after the death of Nancy's father, Thomas Perkins, they moved to Jellico.
