     Sophia Mary Alexander was born in 1741 at New Munster, Cecil County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Theophilus Alexander and Catherine Wallace.¹ Sophia Mary Alexander married Samuel Sharp, son of Thomas Sharp Sr. and Isabella Wallace, in 1763.¹

     Theophilus Alexander was born on 13 March 1714 at Cecil County, Maryland.¹ He was the son of James Robert Alexander and Margaret Abigail McKnitt.¹ Theophilus Alexander married Catherine Wallace, daughter of Matthew Wallace and Sarah Alexander, circa 1734. Theophilus Alexander died in August 1769 at Cecil County, Maryland, at age 55.¹
     Theophilus Alexander Theophilus served with Colonial Militia Troops under command of Captain Thomas Johnson in Cecil County with his father James. He became a prominent land owner and a ruling elder in Rock Presbyterian church of Lewisville, Penn. According to the Rev John Henry Johns, Theophilus "lived in Cecil County on the road running from Cowantown to Kimbleville, just north of where it crosses the Telegraph (Old Kings route) road to Newark. This area, is long known as "Appleton Crossroads, but also called "Dysart's" and "Fox Chase." An old stone Tavern, generally known as "The Seven Stars," still stands on the northwest corner of the crossroads. This Tavern could have been Theo's home. He died prior to his wife Catherine and children removing to Mecklemburg NC. Left his plantation in Cecil County to his son George in 1768. This plantation was the same land willed to him by his Father James Alexander.

Evelyn Jane Allen died on 15 August 1998 at Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois, at age 78.¹ She was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois.
     
     Obituary of Evelyn Jane Allen appeared as follows: Evelyn J. Fate, 78, of Danville, passed away at 7:20 a.m., Saturday, (Aug. 15, 1998), at her home. She was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Pittwood, Ill., the daughter of the late B. and Pearl (Thomas) Allen. In May of 1950, she married Merton C. Fate in Cincinnati, Ohio. He survives. Also surviving are: two sons, Charles (Sherry) Fate of Allen, Texas, and Eric Fate of Greencastle, Ind; one daughter, Charlotte (Billy) Mitchell of Oliver Springs, Tenn; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one brother, Melvin (Helen) Allen of Woodland, Ill. She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Allen. In 1939, she graduated from Milford High School and she received a bachelor's degree in sacred literature from the Cincinnati Bible College in 1949. She worked for Standard Publishing Company in Cincinnati and was self-employed with an alteration business in Danville. At one time, she did alterations for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Danville. She had been a member at the Hooton Church of Christ and presently was a member of the Second Church of Christ. She taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School at both churches. She was a member of the Danville Art League. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and church activities. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center; Officiating: Drew Mentzer; Entombment: Sunset Memorial Park Swan Court Mausoleum; Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home; Memorials: American Diabetes Association or the Second Church of Christ.
