Benjamin Norton married a Margaret Richardson on June 14, 1722 according to Newbury Vital Records, Volume 2, page 419, but there is no indication in those records that he ever married Judith Richardson. According to a deed recorded August 18, 1726, his wife, Margaret, was the daughter of Joshua Richardson (Essex Deeds v47, p102).

The children which Vinton shows as daughters of Benjamin and Judith Richardson Norton, were actually born to Benjamin and Margaret, viz.

Judith, b. 1722 (page torn)
Hannah, b. March 5, 1737

as was
Mirrium, b. August 6, 1739

and sons
Joshua, Benjamin and Richardson Norton, who died in childhood (Newbury 1, 355; 2,672)

Newbury VR's show Margaret as having died in 1732 in her 39th year, but in view of the birth dates of her children, there was obviously a problem in transcription of the VR's (Newbury 2, 672).

Benjamin Norton married second Mary Shute on December 5, 1744 (Newbury 2, 354).

If Margaret was 39 when she died, she must have been born between 1700 and 1705, and probably after 1702, when Joshua and Jane's last recorded child was born, and when Jane was 38 years old.
