- Step One:
Make sure your
site meets the Southern Roots Web Ring Requirements
Must be a genealogy site that contains
information on families in one of the following states: Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Virginia, Kentucky and Mississippi, preferably in a searchable format.
The more additional information such as pictures,
wills, anecdotes, or historical information your site contains, the
better.
And most importantly, you can belong to as many
web rings as you like. I am not exclusive in that respect!

- Step
Two:
Add your site to theQueue

- Step
Three:
Add the Ring Code to your page in
a visible place. Many people choose to put all of their rings on a separate web
document. You may use either the SSNB logo bar OR the original webring HTML logo, but you must have ONE of these on your webpage and it MUST be the page you have registered with the webring.

- SSNB Bar: To use the bar logo or SSNB code, you will need to go to "Get Navigation Code" from within your Southern Roots Genealogy webring page. Then you will simply copy and paste the code on your page. The code will look like the following:

- HTML Code: If you wish to use the HTML code (logo is shown below) please use the following instructions:
Copy and Paste This Text Into Your
HTML Document. Change red text to your email address.
Change blue text to your site id (given to you when
you add your site to the Queue)

- Step Four: If you have problems,
email me, and I will try to help you out.
You don't have to mail me when you add your ring to the queue as the
system automatically does that. I will check your site and if the
code isn't up within 14 days, I will delete you from the queue and you will have
to add yourself again.
