"Rules"

The detail contained has been confirmed back to primary sources where possible & I have attempted to be consistent in the presentation of the information.  All new additions are shown in red see Site History for when they occurred.

Primary Sources include, amongst other things, birth/death certificates, baptismal records where the date of baptism is given, newspaper notices of birth/death, memorium cards.

Secondary Sources include, amongst other things, dates calculated from GRO indexes, baptismal records where no dob is given.

Information gathered from the IGI or Family Search has, wherever possible, been confirmed by reference to a primary source.

b 1800 indicates that the date of birth has been confirmed from a primary document.

b c1800 indicates that the date of birth has been calculated from primary information.

bapt indicates the baptismal date. This may have been extracted from a primary or secondary source.

d 1800 indicates that the date of death has been confirmed from a primary source or secondary source.

Where a first name appears without a surname, the surname at the head of that page is assumed.  Otherwise all surnames are in capitals and bold text.  I have changed the marking of the generations [1], [2] etc, such that generation [0] is now my generation.  Th
is means that as you move around the family pages you can still see the generational relationship to myself and Sandra.

Where the name of a spouse is unknown, this is shown as (UNK)

The problems of distinguishing between parishes as well as registration districts here in Birmingham has been resolved by giving Birmingham as the first element of the source, followed by the parish, then the area. No county has been shown, as this varied with the absorption of parishes from WAR, WOR & STS

e.g. Birmingham St Peter & St Paul Aston
