Military Order of the Stars and Bars
Membership is limited to male descendants,
either lineal or collateral, of the Confederate Officer Corps, members of
the Confederate Congress, or any elected or appointed member of the
Executive Branch of the Confederate Government.
Sons of
Confederate Veterans
Membership is open to all male descendents of any
veteran who served honorably in the Confederate armed forces.
Sons of the Confederacy
Membership is open to all male descendants of any veteran who served
honorably in the Confederate
armed forces. Membership can be obtained through either direct or collateral
family ties to a veteran and be able to provide documentation of that
veteran.
United Daughters of the Confederacy
Membership is open to
women who are blood descendants, lineal or collateral, of men and women who
served honorably in the Army, Navy or Civil Service of the Confederate
States of America, or gave Material Aid to the Cause. Also includes
Children of the
Confederacy
United Sons Of Confederate Soldiers
Membership in the United
Sons of Confederate Soldiers Association is open to all male descendents of
any veterans who served honorably as Confederate Soldiers, Sailors, Marines,
Militia or Government Officials.
Auxiliary to
Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War
Women who are lineal or collateral descendants, of soldiers, sailors or
marines regularly mustered and honorably discharged from the Army, Navy,
or Marine Corps of the United States of America during the War of the
Rebellion 1861-1865. Associate memberships available to women who do not
qualify through heredity, but demonstrate a genuine interest in the Civil
War and can subscribe to the purpose and objects of the Auxiliary.
Dames of the Loyal Legion of the United States
Membership is open to lineal and collateral female descendants of the
commissioned officers of the Regular and Volunteer Forces of the United
States during the Civil War.
Daughters of Union
Veterans of the Civil War
All daughters, (grand-daughters, etc., direct descendants,
genealogically
based on lineal descent), of honorably discharged
soldiers, sailors, and marines who served in the Union Army or Navy during
the Rebellion of 1861-1865
Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic
Membership is open to female descendants, and
legally adopted daughters, ten (10) years of age or over, of honorably
discharged Union soldiers, sailors and marines of the Civil War, 1861 to
1865, ex-army nurses of that War, are also eligible to membership.
Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United
States
Membership is open to men who are
descendants (e.g., great great grandson, great grand nephew, etc.) of
commissioned officers of the Union forces during the Civil War.
Sons Of Union Veterans of
the Civil War
Membership is open to
men directly descended from a Soldier, Sailor, Marine or member of the
Revenue Cutter Service (or directly descended from a brother, sister,
half-brother, or half-sister of such Soldier, etc.) who was regularly
mustered and served honorably in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps or Revenue
Cutter Service of the United States of America between April 12, 1861 and
April 9, 1865; Associate membership open to men, who do not have the
ancestry to qualify for hereditary membership, but demonstrate a genuine
interest in the Civil War.
