The Rock Church Homecoming is held each year on the second Sunday in October.  This is the time of year when families, friends, and neighbors of the Rock Church community — past and present  — come together to share memories, to fellowship, and to honor those who have gone on before us.  The activities begin at 10 a.m. in the little white chapel that has hosted similar Sunday gatherings for more than 100 years.  The group moves outside at noon for a potluck lunch under the large shade trees overlooking the chapel, cemetery, and old Rock Church.  The festivities may remain indoors depending on the weather.  Participants are free to come and go as they wish.

The 2009 Homecoming on October 11 was well attended by families who traveled from as far away as Tulsa, OK, and San Antonio, TX.  This year's program was typical of the annual event:

Several people who participated in the first cemetery "Clean-Up Day" on September 19 reported that the event was very productive although not well attended.  A suggestion was made and approved to move the clean-up day to the last Saturday in September.  Everyone is encouraged to attend, especially those living within the immediate area.
