The Beard Family of Alabama
This line is my paternal grandmothers line. My Beard line starts with her, Bizzie Lee Beard. She was born in Alabama, but moved north to Indiana in 1950 while her family was still young. At the time, her eldest son was 17.
Southern records are few and far between. Which makes my paternal lines harder to source out. The Beard Family is harder than the others. But I have had a few hints and road signs lately. This is still one of my least researched lines.
This line includes Beard, Bearden, Brown, and White. I have nothing on the Brown family. Her mother, Beatrice Brown, died when she was a small child. I do not know who the parents of Beatrice were. They were in the county areas of DeKalb/Cherokee/Etowah/Marshall/ St. Clair of Alabama. A cousin was told they were from St. Clair County, but I have not found them yet. When Beatrice died she was living in Etowah County with her husband, Charles Pinkney Beard.
You can email me if you have something to add or a question about these families. You can also email my cousin, Tina Brock Smith who is also working on this line as well.
