BEARD, Louie L., 52, Rt. 1, Attalla, died at a local hospital, Saturday 10:30 p.m.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Beard; 4 daughters, Mrs. Buford Slaton, Rt. 1, Attalla; Mrs. James Hendershat, Radcliff, Ky., Mrs. Stan Senter, Norfolk, Va.; mrs Melvin Kline, Attalla; five sons, Ray Beard, Jessup, Ga.; Howard Beard, Gadsden; John, David Wayne and Alan Don Beard, Attalla; two borthers, John Henry Beard, Muncie, Ind.; Leonard Beard, Brookside, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. Spence, Muncie, Ind., three half sisters, Mrs. Georgia Strickland, Corbin, Ky.; Mrs. Beatrice Bachelor, Collinsville, Ala.; Mrs Zelma Harris, Madisonville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday 2 p.m. from the Noble Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Quarles and Rev. Bartlett officiating. Interment at Noble Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Burley Wayne Hill, Marvin Simmons; J.C. Benson, Herman Gaines, Burley Daniel, Paul Blake.
Mr. Beard was a native and life long resident of Etowah County and a farmer. The body will remain at the residence of his son; John Beard, 612 1/2 Highland Avenue, Attalla until the hour of service.
