Beard, Mrs. Flora Belle, 69, Attalla Route 1, passed away at a local hospital Friday at 2:45 p.m. after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband; Roland F. Beard; three sons, Marvin F. Beard, Middleton, Penn., and Floyd F. and J.R. Beard, Attalla, seven daughters, Mrs. Clarence Thompson, Guntersville, Mrs. Charles F. Bowen, Mrs. Wesley Robertson, Mrs. Lamar Talton and Mrs. Mary E. Walker, Attalla, and Mrs. Jean Garner and Mrs. Freddie Roberson, Gadsden; one sister Mrs. Frank Moore, Attalla; 33 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be from Butler Baptist Church (Rockledge) today at 2 p.m. with the Revs. George Harris and Emmett Tiley officiating. Interment will be in Butler Cemetery. Active pallbearers include hoyt Kilpatrick, W.D. Parker, R.L. Talton, J.V. Mims, Earl Tilley and Gerald Whitt.
Mrs. Beard was a native of Blount County, a resident of Etowah County most of her life and a member of Browns Chapel Methodist Church.
The body will remain at the residence until the hour of service.
