The park is 231 acres with a
covered shelter, picnic tables, a playground and 2 nature trails. There are horseshoe pits and we will
have a couple sets of cornhole boards again this year. We may
also have a volleyball net.
Please bring a covered dish for
the potluck.
We are asking everyone to bring
a small $1 prize for Bingo again this year.
Please pass the word along to
all your family about the reunion this year and also
please RSVP this year by phone or e-mail if possible so we will
know how many & what ages to expect. We are going to hold a
"Kid" raffle where everyone will get a prize.
We will be sending out a full
newsletter after the reunion.
Contact Chuck
for RSVP. Please put BBRH in the subject line.
Thanks and we hope to see you
there.
We have yet to figure out who
the proprietors of this family reunion were. Asking many
different people has generated many different answers. That may
be why their are so many names attached to the reunion. What we
do know is these family names have been connected for many
generations and a reunion has happened over 80 times. Most
reunions were held yearly and on occasion every 2 years. What we
can tell you for sure is that the reunion is held on the 2nd
Sunday in August. They
have been held in various places over the years but at least the
last 10 years or so has been in Delaware, Ohio. If you would
like to be contacted when the next reunion is scheduled contact Chuck
and he will send you a reminder prior to the next reunion date.
If you can be contacted thru e-mail please note that in your
e-mail to him. This will help keep the cost of printing and
postage down. If the next reunion is held in a public place we
will post that information here, however if it is held at a
private residence that information will only be shared thru
e-mails, letters or phone calls. We will not post it on the
internet.
This family falls into Chuck's
direct lineage at least twice. His maternal great grandparents
were a Bradley and a Hensley. Click here
to see their family group sheet.
This family has it's own
section because there are many, many family researchers related
to this family in some way. They have the family reunion
mentioned above, a family newsletter (on hiatus) which this
website is named after along with a set of (I believe there are
6) volumes of family history books written by various family
members that include Chuck's mother. There have been other
publications such as a family cookbook and trips to the old
Bradley Homestead (sadly, it is now gone) as well as many other
things that we don't even know about yet. This is a very well
researched and well documented family and we felt it deserved to
have a place where all the family researchers could share and
access information easily. To give it "a home".
We are working on this section
and will upload information as time permits. Please check
back soon. Feel free to contact
me if you would like to include anything pertaining to this
family. ~Beth
