I was, and still am, horse crazy. As a child, I was fortunate to have access to several horses and complete freedom to ride them. Here are Lady and me behind Dr. Mahle's office and home in Plainview, MN. Mom was his office nurse for many years.
Susie was Lady's mother. She was such a good horse, well-mannered but with plenty of ginger. This was taken on the street in front of my house. Visible are the neighbor's cars and Ethel Sullivan's house in the distance.
My four boys had me take this picture of them in the same pose as their high school football picture.
(L) Craig is my third child and Kyle is my third grandchild. Good things come in threes!
(R) Bob was in the Navy for many years. Originally he was a nuclear engineer on the Daniel Boone sub.
Tori and Granny: This is Tori when she was about ten months old.
This is my kitty, Tip O'Neil, watching for a mouse or a bird to walk past the window. Isn't that tail just pure poetry!
Here is Tip in her little kitty-cat hammock. Notice the hummingbird feeder on the outside of the window. It's kind of like "kitty TV" for her. Notice also the big smile on her face!
I named my cat Tip O'Neil because the last inch of her tail is pure white and she always votes democratic. We're a mixed-party household. ;-)
This is my beautiful daughter-in-love, Esther, from Holland. We have not yet seen each other, but I hope to make the trip there in 2004. She and her husband, Dennis, have three lovely children who call me "Oma" (Grandma).
Here are my Dutch grandchildren: Aidan, Rachelle and Kaj.
Esther takes after me ~ she loves horses. Here she is sharing secrets with Vincent.
