Notes for Theodore Perry LANSFORD
Theodore and Martha had ten children, five born before, and five after
the Civil War.
Theodore Perry Lansford served as a Private in Company I, 60th Reg. Georgia
Vol. Inf., Army of Northern Virginia, in the Civil War. He was severe lywounded
in battle and taken prisoner. He swore allegiance to the United State s,and was
exchanged and returned home to his family. He moved to Catoosa County ,Georgia
with his father and bought land on the West side of his farm near th eBurning
Bush Church. (organized in 1872) Sometime in the 1880's he and the re stof his
family except two married daughters, followed his oldest son Willia mWallace
Lansford to Arkansas and later to Oklahoma where they are buried in different
locations. Their decendants would fill many pages of a family histor yand are
scattered about the mid-west and California.
