THE BIG QUESTION

Where did he end up when he came to America from Michelreith, Bayern, Germany?

BIRTH BEF 1716

Birth place is unknown, but suspected to be Michelrieth, Germany.

1741 DAUGHTER BORN

On 20 Sep 1741 Nicolaus Windzenholler and Anna Maria had child Anna Margaretha bapt.

1748 CHILD BORN AND FIRST WIFE DIES. MARRIES ANNA DORTOHEA

On 24 Jan 1748 in Lindelbach, Baden, Germany Niclas Winterholler and Anna Maria had a child bapt.

On 14 May 1748 Nicolaus marries Anna Dorothea Büttel in the Evangelical Church in Lindelbach, Baden, Germany. Anna Dorothea was the daughter of Johannes Buchard Büttel and Maria Barbara. Anna Dorothea was bapt in 1719 in Lindelbach.

1750 SON GEORG CHRISTOPH BAPT IN LINDELBACH

"1750. 28 May ward getauft K. Georg Christoph, P. Niclaus Winterholler (or Wintenkoller), M. Anna Dorothea, dod Georg Christoph Wolf Butter?." (Lindelbach Evg Bapt Book)

1752 CAME TO AMERICA

Nickles Weitzenholler was on the 1752 ship Phoenix passenger list 2 people away from Andreas Buttel, and next to Hans Fertig and Johann Gorg Hoh. It is believed that several of Anna Dorothea's family also immigrated in 1752.

1759 POSSIBLE THIRD MARRIAGE AND CHILD

Nicolaus Winsenkeller and wife Margaretha son Andreas bapt 14 Dec 1759. Records of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Philadelphia. A partial record of this church was orig published in 1896 by PA German Society in Vol VII of the PA German Soc Proceedings. These records were republished in 1983 by Genealogical Pub Co in Vol 1 of PA German Church Records. (Source: FHL US/CAN Book 974.811 K2hj vol 1644-1765 by Humphrey. Didn't check the 1766-1780 vol.)

If the above is true, then since his Bittle wife died, he may not have continued to travel with the Bittle and Sells. Also if the above is true that places the immigration party at St. Michael's Lutheran Church--maybe should go throw those ORIG records looking for Bittle that may have been translated as something else.
