Ben L. Aaron, 87, died March 31 at Jenkins County Hospital. He was born in Jenkins County and was a retired farmer and school bus driver. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Martha A. McMillan of Millen; a brother, Ira Edward Aaron of Athens; and a granddaughter, Carla M. Bray of Winter Springs, Fla.
VISITATION: until noon today at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home, Millen.

Mrs. Blanche Lewis Aaron, 82, entered into rest Thursday, Sept. 12, (2002) at St. Josephs Hospital, Augusta. Mrs. Aaron, a native of Jenkins County, had lived most of her life in Burke County. She was a homemaker and a member of Greenfork Baptist Church, Perkins. Mrs. Aaron was predeceased by her husband, Morgan Aaron and her son Harlow Dickey, both in June 2001.
Survivors: several nieces and nephews.

Morgan Randolph Aaron, 77, died June 9 (2001) at home. The Jenkins County native and longtime resident of Waynesboro retired as plant and general manager of Keller Industries. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Blanche Lewis Aaron of Waynesboro; two sisters, Rudy Matkin of Turpin, Okla. and Venice Gay of Garfield; a brother, Ira Aaron of Huntsville, Ala. ; and several nieces and nephews.

She retired from Reidsville High School as a food service employee. She was a member of Reidsville Baptist Church and Hattie Rountree Sunday School Class.
SURVIVORS: her husband, W.J. Akins of Collins; four sons, Donald Akins of Reidsville, Fred Akins of Corpus Christi, Texas, Frank Akins of Ocoee, Fla., and Benny Akins of Highland, Calif.; a daughter, Betty J. Hill of Nashville, Ga.; a sister, Jessie B. Brown of Savannah; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery, Garfield. Mr. Alcott, a native of Emanuel County, was a former employee of Georgia Highway Department. He was Baptist.

Mrs. Rosa Lucille Durden Bennett, 79, of 172 Dewey Warnock Road, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Dublinair Health Care Center. The funeral will be at 5 p.m. today at Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Millen, with the Revs. Kelmer Durden, Mickey Corley and Butch Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Family Cemetery, Millen.
Mrs. Bennett, a native of Emanuel County, had retired from Jockey International as a seamstress. She was a member of Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mildred B. Williams and Dorothy B. Boone, both of Millen, and Rosa B. Hall and Della B. Lovett, both of Dublin; and 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

CANOOCHEE, Ga. - Mrs. Bridie Womack Black, 67, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at her residence.

Mrs. Black, a native of Canoochee, had retired as a postmaster. She was co-owner of Black's Mercantile and a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Bertha B. Sharp, Vero Beach, Fla., Helen B. Edenfield, Atlanta, and Jo Anne B. Harper, Lawrenceville; two brothers, Robbie Womack, Millen, and C.L. ``Buck'' Womack Jr., Canoochee; a sister, Blonnie W. Johnson, Canoochee; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Blalock, a native of Evans County, was the owner of Furniture Rentals Inc. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a Baptist.

Mrs. Brinson, a native of Burke County, was co-owner of Brinson Barbecue and was retired from Jockey International with the packing department. She was a member of Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Brinson; three sons, Matt Brinson, Steve Brinson and Danny Brinson, all of Millen; two daughters, Stacy B. Allen and Teresa Brinson, both of Millen; her mother, Annie Mae Kilpatrick, Waynesboro; one brother, Glen F. Kilpatrick, Waynesboro; two sisters, Frances K. Delaigle, Waynesboro, and Vivian K. Maddox, Maryland; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Brinson, a native of Jenkins County, had retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as an engineer, and as owner of Brinson Barbecue. He was a member of Ogeechee Baptist Church.

The Jenkins County native lived most of her adult life in Burke County and was a licensed practical nurse. She working for 43 years at Burke County Hospital before retiring as assistant operating room supervisor.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Spares and Pairs Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Mildred Barber Brinson, age 77, died Tuesday (13 Aug 2002) afternoon at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. The Statesboro native had lived a few years in Augusta. She was the daughter of the late Melvin and Susie Henley Barber Sr. Mrs. Brinson was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Brenda Baxley of Statesboro; one granddaughter, Skye B. Mashburn, and her husband, Todd; one grandson, Kip Baxley, and his wife, Tracy; and two great- granddaughters, all of Statesboro; one sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and John Vick of Augusta; one brother and four sisters-in-law, Billy and Nell Barber, Joyce Barber and Earline Barber, all of Statesboro, and Yvonne Barber of Sylvania; one brother-in-law, Jim Huffsticker of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.

He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BS Degree, from the University of Georgia with a Masters Degree and from Georgia Southern University with a Six Year Degree. He was a former principal of Burke County Middle School and Associate School superintendant. After his retirement from the school system, he was employed by DeLoach Funeral Home as credit manager and funeral assistant. Benny was a former member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro where he served as Deacon, vice chairman of the Deacons Board and Deacons Family Ministry Coordinator.
Survivors include his wife, Linda P. Cannady, Waynesboro; his mother, Pearl J. Bessie B. Cox

DELAND, Fla. -- Mrs. Bessie Boyette Cox, 89, died June 20 at Alliance Community Health Care Center.
She was born in Ware County and lived in Pierce County and Florida a number of years. She retired as a bookkeeper for the Maritime Service and was a member of the Old Lyons Disciples of Christ Christian Church. She was the widow of Joseph S. Gray Sr. and Lewis J. Cox.
SURVIVORS: a sister, Reba Peacock of Blackshear; a number of nieces and nephews, including Gaston W. Boyette of Seville, Fla.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home, Blackshear.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pearson-Treadwell Funeral Home, burial in Oakland Cemetery.

MIDVILLE (GA)--
Brunell Johnson Cox, 81, died May 9 (2000). She was a native of Jenkins County and the widow of Edsel Cox. She retired from Carter Manufacturing Co. in Thomaston as a seamstress. She attended Lewis Primitive Baptist Church in Jenkins County and was a member of Garfield Community Club.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Roxanne Cox of Thomson; two sisters, Irene Joiner of Midville and Louise Lane of Millen; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Hendley, Rountree and Powell Funeral Home (formerly Johnson Funeral Home) in Swainsboro.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Thursday at Hendley, Rountree and Powell Funeral Home, burial in Lewis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Jenkins County.
