Anna Marie ANDERSON / SHINN April 6th, 1985 Albany – Anna Marie SHINN, 93, of 1137 Ninth Ave. W.,
died Saturday. Born in Gibbon Nebraska, she came to Albany (Oregon) in 1940.
She was a member off “The War Mothers”, and the Evangelist Church of North
America. Survivors include her sons, Maurice and Alvin both of
Portland, and her daughter Mary Ann BEARD of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Graveside services will be held today at 1:00pm at Twin
Oaks Memorial Park under the direction of Aasum mortuary. Raymond SHINNThe Statesman Journal, Albany Oregon Raymond SHINN, 78, died Nov. 22. Born in North Platte, Neb., he served in the Army during
World War II. He lived in the Jefferson area before moving to Albany. He
drove for Sites-Silverwheel Freightliners for 36 years, retiring in 1980. He
belonged to Eagles Lodge 2255, American Legion 10, Veterans of Foreign Wars
584 and enjoyed the outdoors and bowling. He divorced his first wife, Shirley
JONES. Two brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild preceded
him in death. Survivors include his wife, Nita (SMITH CHRISTENSEN),
whom he married in 1967; daughter, Carol HAYS of Jefferson; sons, Dean of
Santa Clarita, Calif., and Paul, Ron and Larry, all of Albany; 18
grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Dec. 17 at VFW Post 584.
