Anna Missouri Crabbs

They were married November 17^th, 1875 in Greene County, Iowa.

Anna born 1853 in Hagerstown, MD. was the daughter of Joshua Crabbs born in IN., and Thurza  Ann Hewitt born in PA.

Cyrus was born July 4^th, 1841 in the Adams Twp. of Delaware Co, IN to the parents, Archelaus Hiram Gibson and Hulda Carson. He was their 4^th child and was the 2^nd son.

The family moved to Greene County, Iowa in 1853.

Cyrus at the age of 17, with his parents and siblings went west, following the lure of riches in the gold fields. The family endured many hardships and the death of two of his siblings, Isaac and Ann.

They returned to Greene Co, IA in 1860. 

Cyrus first married Mathilda Adkins on August 15^th, 1868. They were married at the home of Phillip Adkins. 1869 their daughter Emma was born, that same year Matilda died, leaving him to care for his infant daughter.

1875 Cyrus married Anna Crabbs, a widow with 2 children.
