Beach Family

Eliadia Rebecca (Beach) married John William Rorabaugh in Shelby County, Missouri, as recorded on the US Gen Web Archives Project for that county and state,
Eliadia Rebecca (Beach) marriage record

Eliadia Rebecca (Beach) Rorabaugh's brother James W. Beach also has his birth record recorded with the US Gen Web Archives Project in Missouri.

David Beach and Evaline (Talbott) , http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~familyfound/beach.html Eliadia Rebecca's parents, were married on the 29th of April 1877 in Scotland County, Missouri. This record was found on the, "Scotland County, Missouri - marriage records 1841-1885.

Eliada Beach, David's father married Mary Rorabaugh, 3rd child of Nathan Rorabaugh.

David Beach and Mary (Peck), parents of Eliada Beach, were married in Wallingford, Connectucut on the 8th of September 1824, as recorded there in Vol. 1, page 73 of the town records.

David and Mary moved to Portage County Ohio to start their family, They had 6 sons, Oliver, Eliada, Dr. David Jr., Bernice, Calvin and Elizur.

David Beach most likely descended from one of these three brothers, as described and shown in the book, "Beach in America" viewed at LDS family history center film # 1035682.

The statement below came from an unpublished genealogical manuscript by C. W. Beach, Engineer of Irrigation Division, Pueblo, Colorado in 1931.

*****************************

The ancestry of David Beach Senior (1802 to I875) has not been traced at this writing (January 1931) except to know that his father was "Cop" Beach, a cooper by trade. Cop being a nickname, but it is very probable that he is of the family so numerous in Connecticut in 1790 and a decendent of one of the three brothers. A genealogist whom I have had working on the subject for several years is of the opinion that David Beach the father of the six boys is a son of Phineas and Rhoda (Hitchcock) Beach of Northford, Connecticut. Northford is located a few miles from Wallingford, Conn.o where David Beach and Mary Peck were married. There is no definite proof of the relationship but judging from many little things, chiefly the repetition of family names in the two families the opinion seems reasonable.

Dr. David Beach Jr. lived in Iowa, one of his children shown below.

Cora (Beach) born 29th of January 1861 in Ohio, was the daughter of Dr. David Beach Jr.
Cora is shown here with her husband, Fred Oscar Hinkson in 1885. They are referred to in the "History of Stuart County, Iowa".

Beach Coat of Arms 1637.
