Photographs and Memories
The photos collected here are a
small sampling of what I have acquired over the years in my search for the
various branches of my family tree. My research has included both sides of my
own family as well as portions of my husband's family. If you have questions or
information please email me at the address link below.

Lawhorns

I am very interested in researching the Holstine/Lawhorn families. I am the
great-great-great grandaughter of Caroline Holstine and Lewis Tally Lawhorn
pictured here through their daughter Martha Lawhorn Holloway. Do your family
lines intersect with mine? Please email me at the link below. This clipping
comes from the Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home Ark, Arkansas December 3,
1999.

Lawhorn Cemetery, McDonald County, near
Anderson, Missouri
There was only one original stone
that I located that was readable, James King Lawhorn. It was a military stone
with no dates. James King Lawhorn was one of the sons of Charles Jacob Lawhorn.

Mattie May Lawhorn, the daughter
of James King Lawhorn, age 18. Born May 25, 1878 - Died January 19, 1919
Married Leonard C. James. (Photo courtesy of Katrina McDonald, Descendant
of Mattie Lawhorn James).

This stone was placed at the
Lawhorn Cemetery. I don't know who did it, or where they were able to get their
information on who was buried there, but I'd like to thank them for it. The
cemetery is mowed, though the small, dirt, county road nearly cuts through it.
An old piece of plywood with the words "Lawhorn Cemetery" stenciled in
black mark the place.
