Know all men by these presents That we James P. Hay, David R. Hay and Henry Morris are held and firmly bound unto the Justices of the Inferior Court of said County ?illing as a Court of Ordinary and their ??? in office in the sum of Ten thousand Dollars for the true payment of which we bind ourselves our heirs? administrators executors and assigns jointly and s?? firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this fourth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty seven.
The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound James P. Hay administrator of the goods chattels lands and cretids of Winlock C. Pearson deceased do make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods cahttels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands possession or knowledge of the said James P. Hay or unto the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him and the same to made do exhibit? unto the said Court of Ordinary whom? he shall be there unto required and such goods chattells and credits do well? and truly administer according to law and do make a just and true account of his a??? and doings? there on when required by the Superior Couth or Register of Probate for the County ??? all the rest of the goods chattels and credits which shall be found remaining? upon the account of the said Administration the same being first allowed by the said court shall deliver and pay to such persons respecting as are entilled? to the same by law and it shall here after appear that any las will and testament was made by the said deceased and the same be proved before the Court and the Executor obtain a certificate thereof and the said James P. Hay do in such case if required ??? and deliver up the said letters of administration then this obligation to be void else ??? ?? full force In testimony where of we have ??? unto our hands and affixed our seals the day and year above written

Meriwether County By the Court of Ordinary for said county.
To John L. Dixon, David R. Hay, Valentine Corely, William Reddin and William Morris. These are to authorise (sic) and empower you, or ??? three of you to makea just and true appraisment of all and singular the goods chattels (ready money only excepted) of Winlock C. Pearson late of said county deceased in Dollar and cents as shall be produced by James P Hay the administrator of the estate of the said Winlock Pearson You and each of you first taking the oath required by ?? before some justice of the peace for said county and that you will return the same certified under your hands and also a certificate of your having taken the oath there to ??? unto the said James P Hay within the time prescribed by law Witness the Honorable W.B. ?etor? one of the Judges of the said Court of Ordinary this 29the day of January 1837

Hay has taken ??(cut off) oath in terms of the law and given bond the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars with David Hay and Henry Morris securities in said bound It is ordered that he be appointed administrator ??(cut off) of all and singular the estate of the said Wenlock C. Pearson decd. And that letters ??(cut off) Administration do ?? to him as such
