
Charles Richard Williams was born October 15 1886 at Mills, Utah a son of John W Williams and Emma Orgill Williams. Charlie lived his early life in Mills and Mona. He met Jane when he would go to Leamington to work . They married May 4 1909. Their wedding dance was the first one held in a new meeting house in Leamington. They lived a short time about four miles below Levan and then moved back to Leamington where they bought the family home from Jane's brother Wiley Strange. They lived there until the house burned after Jane had become widowed.
Charlie was a water master on the high line canal for 27 years riding his faithful bay mare Siney that worked as part of a team and also carried Charlie up and down miles of ditch line. He was foreman of the WPA when the piepline was built in the canyon. He was city Marshall for a number of years. He was also a successful farmer all the time he lived in Leamington. Jane and Charlie raised 6 children. Charlie was an enthusiastic deer hunter and never missed a hunt. When Charlie first hunted there was no license needed.
Both Charlie and Jane are buried in the Leamington cemetery
