NILL, Kenneth "Kenny" M. Kenneth "Kenny" M. Nill, age 58, of Urbana passed away at 4:54 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009 in his residence after battling a brain tumor. Kenny was born on August 14, 1950, a son of the late Kenneth O. and Merle Irene (Shaffer) Nill. He married his wife of 25 years, Catherine Krebehenne, on July 13, 1984. Together they raised two daughters: Michell McGowan and Mrs. Jay (Christy) Simpson all of Urbana. He was a loving grandfather to three grandchildren: Kenneth, Taylor, and Levi Simpson, also of Urbana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Bailey Hudson and Juanita "Nita" Piper. Kenny was a 1968 graduate of Graham High School and lived in Concord Twp. for 32 years where he served as a trustee for 12 years, a 9 year employee, and for 7 years as a zoning inspector. As a farmer for 42 years he has been a member of Farm Bureau and a Farm Bureau trustee for 6 years. He has also served on the 911 C.O.G. Fiscal Board, the Champaign Co. E.M.A. Executive Committee, the Champaign Co. Homeland Security Committee, and the Champaign Co. Health District Advisory Board. Kenny was an avid supporter of the Concord Community Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio with Reverend Wayne Engle of the Concord United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Concord Community Center, C/O Jim Chamberlain, 3964 St. Rt. 560, Urbana, Ohio 43078. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.

Esther May Zerkle Stephan, age 82 of Urbana passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009 in her residence. She was born in Christiansburg, Ohio on April 20, 1927 the daughter of Lewis T. & Lois M. (McNeal) Ross. She was a 1945 graduate of Christiansburg-Jackson High School, a charter and former member of the Christiansburg Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, a cook at Graham South Elementary for over 30 years retiring as the Head Cook in 1997, and she volunteered at Mercy Memorial Hospital for over 8 years where she accumulated over 600 volunteer hours. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, St. John's Lutheran Church in Piqua, and a current member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Urbana. She was a faithful member at each church, where she served as youth choir director, played the piano, Sunday School teacher, ladies clubs, sewing groups, bible studies, and many other church activities. Esther loved to sew, crochet, cook and bake, you could always count on Esther to have cookies and snacks in her kitchen or at work. Her two favorite pastimes were reading the Bible, which she had read the entire Bible numerous times over the years, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed by everyone.

Louie worked at the Lawnview Workshop for many years and loved traveling around Urbana on his bicycle making new friends.
Survivors include sisters, Phyllis Sprinkle of Columbus and Betty Windle and her husband Frank of Urbana, brothers, Richard Sprinkle and his wife Diane of Gladstone, OH, and Jerry Sprinkle of Urbana and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rosemary Whitman and three brothers, Paul, Johnny and David Sprinkle.
The family will receive friends 12 Noon - 2 P.M. Thursday, August 6, 2009 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, where funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Richard Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.

Vivian was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School. She retired from Wright Patterson Air force Base as a Secretary. Vivian was a member of the Buck Creek Women's club and the Olde Town Condo Association.
Vivian is survived by her sister, Darlene (Harry) Frakes of Troy, numerous nieces & nephews; as well as many close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Warren and Jim Glick.

His wife died 19th Oct 1857; they were parents of 11 ch, 8 survive and are located within a radius of 5 miles of Mechanicsburg with the exceptior of son ROBERT who lives in Ore. He md MRS JANE TAYLOR Dec 1858 and had 1 dau, both wife and dau died in autumn of 1881. He then went to live with is dau, MR5 G B VANNESS from whence he removed to his other daus MRS ANNA PARKER where he died.
