BENJAMIN W. POOL, farmer and stock-dealer; P. 0. De Graff, Logan Co born Jan. 9, 1848, in Logan Co., Ohio; is a son of Wilfiam R. Pool, a native of Shelby Co., Ohio, who lived there until he was 28 years of age, then moved to Logan Co: where he has been engaged in farming and carpentering until a few years ago. He now lives retired in Bellefontaine, the county seat of Logan Co. Benjamin W was reared a farmer and never learned a trade, but is very handy with tools, and does all his own carpenting, blacksmithing and harness-making. Feb 1, 1872 he married Miss Mary A, daughter of Cyrus Makemson of Logan County and in March of the same year, they moved upon the farm where they now reside, located in the north part of Adams Twp, Champaign County containing 400 acres, of which 170 acres belong to Banjamin W. He makes a specialty of raising and shipping stock. They have two children Laura A and Loren W.
