I received this indirectly from a James L. Powell to whom I have never 
corresponded but a "cousin" hooked us up :) I'm sure you can imagine!


Reference: Letter to Maggie Powell in South Bend, WA from Leathie (age 69)
written Jan. 22, 1959 (?). She was 70 on April 30.
She died at 70 June 28, 1960 Basque Co., Texas.

POWELL RITES Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Leathie Powell, 70,
901 South Wilhite Street, who died Sunday, were held at 2 p.m. today
at Bethel Temple with Rev. T. A. Braziel and Rev. W. C. Taylor Jr.
officiating.

Interment was in Brazos Point cemetery with Crosier-Pearson funeral
home in charge. Pallbearers were Marvel Roy Powell, Richard Lockett,
Charles Lockett, Bill Morton, Ed Walker and James Prine.
