• In the name of God amen the 25th August in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred & eighty two I Daniel Mann of Chesterfield County being sick & weak in Body but of perfect mind & memory thanks be to God therefore calling to mind the mortality of  my Body & knowing that its appointed for all men once to die so I Make & ordain this my last Will & Testament that is to say principally & first of all I give & recommend my Soul to the Kind God that gave it & for [my body] I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God & touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life I give & dispose of the same in following manner & form
• Item I give to my Son Olive Mann five Shillings Sterling to him & his Heirs forever
• Item I give to my Son Branch Mann five Shillings Sterling to him & his Heirs forever
• Item I give to my Son Daniel Mann five Shillings Sterling to him & his Heirs forever
• Item I give to my Son Clabon Mann five Shillings Sterling to him & his Heirs forever
• Item I give to my Daughter Suanah Mann five Shillings Sterling to her & her Heirs forever
• Item I give to my Daughter Mary Mann five Shillings Sterling to her & Heirs forever

• Item I give to  my Daughter Lucy Mann five Shillings Sterling to her and her heirs forever
• Item I give to Daughter Masey Mann five Shillings Sterling to her & her Heirs forever
• Item I give to my beloved Wife Suanah Mann all my Land & the remainder part of my Estate whole & sole at her own disposal. Also I leave & desire Suanah Mann & Olive Mann my Exors. of this my last Will & Testament disannulling all Wills & Deed made by me before this Day In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & fixed my Seal the Day & year above written
