I have been lucky enough to visit overseas places, some close to home and some a few thousand miles away! Canada, Egypt, France and Ibiza have been the main destinations, my favourite is Canada, the last trip being in 2004 which was for my father's 60th birthday, a surprise which was amazingly kept from him by many people for several months, so well done and a thank you goes to my mum for arranging the trip.
My first trip to Canada was in 1988 with my parents and we met some of our Canadian family.. I would like to live there, one day maybe it will happen but it still ok to dream, eh!
I have loved my visits to Egypt, my first visit was to Cairo and then after that a separate trip to Luxor. As everyone knows, Egypt is full of history and the sites are magnificent. I don't know anyone who hasn't had the occurrance of a gippy tummy for a day or so!
France, we enjoy visiting France and have had some holidays mainly in the Normandy region, this is handy if you want to visit the WW2 beaches.
We've had a trip to sunny Ibiza and had a great time. We found a great little pub and although it was the clubbing atmosphere of San Antonio it was great!
