From John Maunder - I have very little info on the Reynolds family. i can remember visiting them in Lindsay when i was very young, they owned the local ice company and also visiting a son in ottawa in the 40's. BIOGRAPHY: In his petition for land, April 13, 1819, James of the Township of Niagara, yeoman, son of the late Adam Vrooman of the Township of Niagara, never had any lands except 100 acres as a soldier in the late Glengarry Regiment. He received the E 1/2 of lot 1, concession 3 (100 acres) in Drummond Township, Lanark County, in the Rideau Military Settlement at Perth, beside his

Russell H. Bruce Chidley, Oct 27/1915 - Dec 26/1989, m. Jeanette Ferguson, July 2/1917 - Oct 16/1986, both buried in East Oakwood Cemetery. Jeanette was d/o William Ferguson, 1885 - Jan 3/1957 & Catherine Alberta Anderson, May 15/1894 - Sept 18/1976, (my mother's sister).
Bruce & Jeanette lived in Oakwood and he worked for Hogg & Lytle Grain Elevators at Mariposa Station. Later, they moved to a farm near the Quaker School in Linden Valley. They had two girls, Joan & Marilyn.
F. Stewart Chidley (same generation as Bruce - not sure if they were brothers or cousins) lived in Little Britain and at one point was a Director and/or Manager of the Grain Elevators.
