State of Georgia
This indenture made the first day of October in the year of
Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight, between John
English of Warren County and State above written of the one
part, and John Wilson, of the same State, and Columbia County
of the other part, Witnesseth, that for and in consideration
of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars in hand will and
truly paid unto the said John English, by the said John Wilson
at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained,
sold & confirmed by these presents, a certain tract or parcel
of land, of about sixty two acres, be the same more or less,
lying in said State of Warren County, and ties in on the west
side of the long branch of Brier Creek, and is a part of a four
hundred acre granted to John Dunaway, the thirteenth day of
October one thousand seven hundrend & eighty five, bounded
East by said four hundred acre tract, and is to begin at the
mouth of a branch on the North side of Dunaway's old field,
at a Stake & runs South westwardly to a black oak, thence
North Eastwardly to a pine bounded by Drapers Land, thence South
Eastwardly to a stake at said long Branch, bounded by Draper
& Dick's land, then down the said Long Branch to the begining
Stake Corner together with all the rights, titles, claims, interest
or demand into or out of the same, to have & to hold, the
said Land and premises, claiming or to claim in fee simple.
In Witness whereof the said John English hath hereunto set his
hand and affixed his seal, the day and date first above written.
