MRS, THOMAS C. [Eva Brewer] BROOKS
Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Brewer Brooks, 68, of Ideal, who died April 5, unexpectedly were held Thursday, April 9, from the Ideal Baptist Church. Rev. Clarence Keene and Elder J. W. Hartley officiated and burial was in the IDEAL CEMETERY. Pallbearers were lra Kirkus, Fred Gilbert, J. L. Turner, J. W. Tarrer, Emory English, Dale Taylor, Buford Taylor and Larry Turner. Mrs. Brooks was a lifelong resident of Ideal and the widow of Thomas C. Brooks. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. A. C. McDonald of Albany, Mrs. Bill Bryant of Waynesboro, Penn., Mrs. Jack James of Butter, Mrs. Marion Raburn of Sandusky, Ohio, Mrs. Floyd English of Ideal,. Mrs. L. G. Collier of Pottsville, Penn. one son, G/Sgt. G. G. Brooks of Vietnam; two sisters, Mrs., Julia Johnston and Mrs. H. K. Tarrer, both of Forrest Park. Twenty one grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. Watson Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MRS. MAXIE ENGLISH KLECKLEY
Funeral services for Mrs. Maxie English Kleckley, 88, of Oglethorpe, who died August 10, 1970, in a local hospital, were held August 11, from the Mount Zion-Saint Luke Lutheran Church, Pastor George Lingle officiated and burial was in the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Ferrell English, Sid English, Emory English, H. B. English, Grady English and T. M. English. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Lawrence McKenzie, Dr. Tom Adams, Dr. Fred Adams, T. G. Webb. J. L. Webb, T. L. Coogle, John F. Williams, J. H. Taylor, Chesley Gilmore, J. R. Haugabook, Bob Stafford, Calvin Avera, G. L. Williams, Dan Harvill, Merian Williams, D. C. Smith, George Hammock, E. D. Hammock, Ed Coogle, Fred Edwards, David Webb, Harvey Mathis, Roy Windham and W. T. Jolly. Mrs. Kleckley had resided in Macon County all her life and was the daughter of the late Bethia Moodye English and Mathew English. She was a member of the Mt. Zion-St. Luke Lutheran Church. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Bertha Kleckley of Oglethorpe; one son, Fred N. Kleckley of Americus; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Mary D. Kleckley of Oglethorpe and Mrs. Eugenia J. Kleckley of Macon; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

MRS. MATILU L. ENGLISH FUNERAL NOTICE
Mrs. Matilu Little English, age 83, of Oglethorpe passed away Saturday, November 27, at a local hospital following a short illness. Mrs. English was the widow of J. Respass English of Oglethorpe. She was a retired merchant in Oglethorpe having operated the business for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services were held from the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home, Sunday, November 28, Rev. Laurance Russ officiated and interment was in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens. She M. B. [Myrna] Cheek, both of Oglethorpe, one brother, James W. Little of Houston, Texas; two grandsons, and two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren. Watson-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge.
