MRS. LOFLIN BURIED MONDAY IN ENTERPRISE
Mrs. Molly English Loflin, 86, died Sunday Janurary 29th. Funeral
services were held Monday at 2 P.M. at the Elba Church of Christ
with Raymond Elliot officiating. Burial was in Enterprise Cemetery
by Hayes Funeral Home. Survivors are: one son, George E. Loflin,
Mobile; three daughters: Mrs. Edwin Enzor, Arlington, Va; Mrs.
Lafayette Patterson, Anniston and Mrs. H.E. Valentine, Ozark;
two brothers: J.O. English and J.W. English both of Elba; 6
grandchildren and 9 great grand children |

MISS MARY PAULINE ENGLISH, 55 OBITUARY
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Watson-Mathews
Funeral Chapel in Montezuma, for Miss Mary Pauline English,
55 retired teacher of Oglethorpe, who died Wednesday at the
Americus-Sumter County Hospital after an extended illness. Lutheran
Pastor, John Zeigler, Rev. F. M. York and Elder George Riley
Hunt officiated with burial in the OGLETHORPE CEMETERY. Miss
English, a descendant of one of Macon County's earliest pioneer
families, had taught in the primary grades of the Macon County
School System for 33 years, a whole generation of young people
having benefited from her tutelage. She attended Georgia Southwestern
College and the Georgia State College for Women and was a member
of the Macon County Chapter G.E.A. Survivors include: three
brothers, H. D. English, Sedrick English and Ferrell English,
all of Oglethorpe, three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Bentley of Roberta,
Miss Bethia English of Oglethorpe and Mrs. Robert Brand of Byromville;
three nephews and a niece. |

MRS. A. LEE [Myrtle English] KLECKLEY, 85, FUNERAL
Mrs. Myrtle English Kleckley, age 85, passed away July 8th at
a local hospital. She was a life-long resident of Macon County
and the widow of A. Lee Kleckley. Funeral services were held
on Sunday from the Watson-Mathews Funeral Chapel with the Rev.
F. M. York and Elder Robert Torrence officiating. Interment
was in the OGLETHORPE CEMETERY. Pallbearers were H. B. English,
E. W. Johnson, Carlos Martin, George Hammock, Mike Murray and
Ed N. Murray, Jr. Surviving Mrs. Kleckley are a sister-in-law,
Mrs. Ruth Kleckley of Oglethorpe and a number of nieces and
nephews, among them, Mrs. John T. Bryan and Mrs. Pauline Lane
of Oglethorpe and H. B. English and E. W. Johnson also of Oglethorpe. |

WILLIAM MACHET ENGLISH, 85, Dies at Brooks Co. Hospital
William M. English, 85, of Quitman, Georgia passed away Sunday,
September 10, at the Brooks County Hospital after an illness
of several months. He was born in Schley County, Ga. but had
lived in Quitman for 55 years. Mr. Williams was a veteran of
the Spanish-American War, and had been a Mason and Shriner for
50 years. His late wife, the former Daisy Elmore, died in 1946.
His father and mother were Robert Sampson English and Mary Elizabeth
Cheves English. He is survived by three grandsons, William M.
English II, of Marietta, Benjamin K. English of Smyrna and George
E. English, Jr. of Madison, Wisconsin; one daughter-in-law,
Mrs. George E. English, Sr. of Smyrna, and three great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 12, at the Maxwell
Funeral Chapel with Rev. A. F. Forgarple officiating. Interment
was in
Oglethorpe City Cemetery. |

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucile English Justice, 75, who died
Friday in a Montezuma hospital, were held Sunday in the chapel
of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. A. C. Martin officiated
and burial was in RED HILL CHURCH CEMETERY near Oglethorpe.
Pallbearers were Ralph Price, Dick Price, Bryan Peavy, Robert
Payne, Allen Payne and Wilmont Peaster, Jr. Mrs. Justice, a
lifelong resident of Macon County, was a housewife. Survivors
include two sons, Bennie Justice of Montezuma and Robert J.
Justice of Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. W. H. Peaster and
Mrs. Lena Wynn, both of Montezuma, and Mrs. Hamilton Griffin
of Unadilla; two brothers, W. C. English of Oglethorpe and Gilbert
English of Thomaston; three sisters, Mrs. J. F. Peaster and
Mrs. R. W. Murphy, both of Columbus and Mrs. H. L. Hilton of
LaGrange. |

Funeral services for Frank R. Easterlin, 38, who died Wednesday
at his home, were held Friday from the graveside in OGLETHORPE,
GEORGIA CEMETERY. The Rev. George Homes officiated. Survivors
include his wife, the former Yancey McCalla of Montezuma, two
sons, Frank Easterlin, III and Mark Easterlin; two daughters,
Coley Easterlin and Sarah Easterlin and his mother, Mrs. Richard
Forrester. J. C. Harwell and Sons Funeral Home was in charge.

FINAL RITES HELD FOR MISS ENGLISH - Funeral services for Miss
Bethia English, 60, who died Sunday, were held at 11 o'clock
am Monday from the Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. John
Zeigler and the Elder George Riley Hunt officiated and burial
was in the OGLETHORPE CEMETERY.
Pallbearers were A. J. Allman, Glenn Chase, Glenn Lee Chase,
Elsa Woodall, Olin Smith and Merlan Williams. Miss English was
a lifelong resident of Macon County and a member of the Primitive
Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers, Hill Derrick English, Ferrell
Matthew English and Sidney Richard English, all of Oglethorpe;
two sisters, Mrs. William [Emily Mildred English] Bentley of
Roberta and Mrs. Robert [Ester Blanche English] Brand of Byromville;
