In 1826, Judge Reid was admitted to the Missouri bar where he opened up a law office in Fulton, Calloway County, Missouri. In 1830 he was elected to the lower House of the General Assembly until 1836 at which point he was the Speaker. In 1835 he was elected to the US Congress serving three terms until 1849.

Carter Reeds was chief engineer for off-shore drilling for Chevron Corp. Was sent to London England and knew J Paul Getty. He divorced his while for Getty's secretary he met in England.

The 1880 census lists George, his daughter Nellie and son Louie living with the Isaac Bickley family in Fabius Iowa (Davis County). George is listed as a farmer, born in Ohio. George's father (name unknown) was listed as being born in Pennsylvania and his mother (again name unknown) was listed as being born in VIrginia. There was no listing for George's wife. George Losey was reported as being the ex-Sheriff of Madison County Nebraska in an article announcing the death of his daughter in the Madison County Nebraska newpaper on Thursday, March 20, 1919. At the time of the writing, George Losey resided in Hagerman, New Mexico.
